As a Peabody and Emmy Award-winning storyteller, I transform complex issues into engaging content delivered to millions a day across multiple platforms - TV, radio, digital and social. I’m a trusted leader in high-pressure moments where the stakes are critical from capturing the horrors on the frontlines of war to crafting questions for a presidential debate. My work has informed world leaders as they create policy, helped save the lives of people caught in catastrophic situations and enlightened the public in chaotic times like January 6th. I am able to analyze how science, technology, economics and politics are rapidly changing our world like producing the first story on ChatGPT on CNN. I can bring life and depth to critical issues like overseeing Jake Tapper’s nightly monologues in prime time. 

I have proven executive leadership skills from being a valued mentor for young talent to being a trusted advisor for renowned anchors and CEOs. I’m grateful to have learned from some of the best business minds as a Punch Sulzberger Fellow at Columbia University how to effectively execute a vision, strategy and operational success measured by the goals of a clear mission. 

At the PBS NewsHour, I managed not only the daily production of the international program, but balanced that with long-term projects like crafting missions statements, creating organizational structures, establishing successful partnerships, overseeing election night coverage, producing prime time specials and coordinating with engineers and technicians on major investments from moving to digital broadcast platforms to creating new digital products. 

I started my career in Chicago writing ads for clients like Anheuser-Busch and Target. My first job in DC was at The White House working for the Press Secretary. I moved to Washington right after college and haven’t left yet. Proud father of four kids who are DC natives and have a lifelong passion for painting.
